Client feedback:
Thank you for tackling this topic in such a graceful yet informative way. This training allowed for meaningful dialogue and allowed us all to check out biases and contemplate how we can better serve students. Thank you so much for promoting a safe space in training and teaching us to be able to do the same! I appreciated learning the different skills from allowing others to share but also learning to protect my own feelings and mental boundaries at the same time. I know I have benefitted so much from this training and the students I serve will feel the same. |
Thanks for teaching me how much I don’t know about trauma! I enjoyed the activity with "Wilson". I had never thought about the role of support & resources in that way and the metaphor really resonated with me. Thank you for being so open with us and helping us to be open with each other. I appreciate how you were vulnerable and candid with us to inspire and encourage us to be the same with each other so we could grow. Thank you for all the advice and opportunities to practice the skills you taught us. Now more than ever, our world needs people like the two of you to teach and mentor us! Thank you for sharing your expertise, experiences, time, and love with us! |
Thank you for all the time, energy, and resources put into planning this for our specific group and context. The prep work was obviously, yet it did not seem rehearsed. Kept us engaged and all work felt meaningful. Understanding supportive roles through peers was so meaningful to me. It made me realize that if you don’t know a resource, there are others who might. Thank you so much! |
The whole session was very well done and cultivated a safe environment to discuss difficult issues. Our team felt comfortable addressing challenging topics and hard situations. It equipped us to do better in the future. Thank you Wow! Thank you so very much for including the piece on phrases that you should not say vs. some you should. Some of the things "not to say" aren’t as obvious as you would think. The training was very well done! The talking points and body language discussion was exceptional. I finally feel confident knowing how to respond when someone confides in me. I was blown away realizing how this changes depending on the age of the person you are working with, too. Can't wait to have you all back next year! |
